Management Issues 2/2017 - invitation

We invite you to submit articles for Issue 2/2017 focused on history of organizations: inspiration – burden – warning. The managing editors responsible for the content will be UEK Prof. Alojzy Czech, PhD (habilitated), University of Economics in Katowice, and Tomasz Ochinowski, PhD (habilitated), University of Warsaw.

Articles may concern subjects such as:

  • critical analysis of the “historical turn” phenomenon in management science and its importance for business practice,
  • various epistemological perspectives in the historical approach to management: history of organizational thought, business history, social history of business, history and historiography of organizations, and Polish intellectual traditions relating to these areas,
  • chances of and limitations to incorporating Polish business traditions in the international discourse on “historical turn” in management science,
  • overview of Polish business traditions as a source of inspiration for current innovative organizational activities,
  • history of organizations and business ethics,
  • historical perspective in modern concepts of leadership,
  • historical experience as an inspiration for the theory and practice of sustainable development,
  • presence and functions of history in the activities of today’s businesses.

The planned Management Issues will prefer articles based on historical research and historiographic analysis in the context of management.

Papers may be submitted until 20 February 2017.
